Robbie Williams 'proposes' on radio

Friday, November 27 2009, 11:02 UTC - by Mayer Nissim, Entertainment Reporter

Rex Features Robbie Williams has 'proposed' to his girlfriend Ayda Field on Australian radio.

The former Take That singer made the tongue-in-cheek gesture during an interview on the 2DayFM breakfast show and borrowed a frog ring from presenter Jackie Henderson which he placed on Field's finger.

Williams said: "Ayda Field, I love you so much. Do you mind being my betrothed for the end of time? "

Field laughed and responded: "I would love to be your betrothed 'til the end of time."

Later speaking to Key103, Williams said: "Pre-nuptials and all that business, I don't know what's going to happen, 'cos I don't know when we're going to get married, I don't know what we're going to do.

"I probably would [get a pre-nup]. I change with the wind and my feelings about everything change all the time. I don't want to be anywhere else, with anybody else forever right now, but you look at history and you look at what happens with people, and things change."

He added: "[It will be] a very, very quick service, probably be about three people there. Me, her and the priest and get it done, get it over with.

"I'm not into the idea of a big massive service with lots of people being there. It will be in my garden at the house and it will be me and her and the dogs and a priest and that's it."
