WENN Former Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes has announced that she is getting her life back on track with the help of a personal trainer.

The 21-year-old model told the Daily Star Sunday that focusing on exercise has helped her to put recent troubles behind her.

Hayes was rushed to hospital in August after reportedly taking an overdose of painkillers and red wine. She was later spotted at The Priory clinic.

Speaking in her latest interview, Hayes explained: "I'm in a pretty good place right now and am looking forward to the future. I like to be busy and getting in tip-top condition has been a great way to keep myself occupied.

"I took on a personal trainer and started running every morning, lunchtime and evening. I really started to love it. So I thought, why not start training for next year's Great North Run? It's been a great way to kick-start my life. The next thing I need to do is decide what charity I want to raise money for."

Hayes recently said that she is "single and ready to mingle".
