Lauren Harries hoping for BB stint
Thursday, October 8 2009, 14:29 UTC - by Daniel Kilkelly, Entertainment Reporter
Former child star Lauren Harries has announced that she is hoping to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house next year.
The 30-year-old antiques expert, who had a sex change in 2001, spoke out after reportedly hearing that she has been shortlisted for a fourth time.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Harries explained: "I've been asked so many times before only to be told at the last minute that I wasn't going in, so I'm hoping this time it happens.
"I'm a huge fan of the show and am gutted this is the last one. I promise I'll be TV gold."
Harries recently made headlines after Phillip Schofield condemned her for behaving in a "peculiar" manner on This Morning. She had been interviewed about transgender issues on the ITV1 show but has now been banned from making further appearances.
Asked who she doesn't want to meet in the house, she replied: "Phillip Schofield. I went on This Morning recently and he has a bad aura."
Celebrity Big Brother is expected to return to screens in January.
