Friday, July 31 2009, 10:26 UTC - by Dan French, US TV Editor
Channel 4 has commissioned a documentary about octuplet mum Nadya Suleman, it has been announced.
The one-hour show - titled Octomom - will see Suleman show what it is like to be a single, unemployed mother with 14 children under the age of eight.
As well as following her daily routine, the film will re-examine her back story, including her childhood, her numerous IVF attempts and the media attention that has surrounded her since the birth of her octuplets in January this year.
Channel 4's Liam Humphries said of the commissioning: "Octomum is one of the most controversial and compelling tales of recent times.
"It’s a major coup to have secured access to Nadya Suleman and her family and their inside story promises to make extraordinary, provocative, and surprising viewing."
